How to clean up the waste transformer oil?

Time:2025-06-21 11:56:23  Reading volume:

The treatment of waste transformer oil must comply with environmental protection laws and regulations, such as China's "List of Hazardous Wastes" (HW08 regulations), and achieve harmlessness and resource utilization through physical, chemical, or recycling technologies. The following is a systematic treatment process and method:

Pretreatment (impurity separation)

1. Mechanical filtration

- Equipment: Plate and frame oil filter/centrifuge

- Removal: metal particles, carbon slag and other solid impurities (precision ≤10μm)

- Effect: solid content reduced from 5000ppm to <100ppm

2. Dehydration and degassing

- Process:

- Heating to 60℃ + vacuum -0.095MPa (water ≤50ppm)

- Ultrasonic demulsification (treatment of emulsified oil)

Deep purification technology

1. White clay adsorption (for oxides/colloids)

- Parameters:

- Activated white clay addition 3-5% (weight ratio)

- Stirring temperature 80-90℃, time 30 minutes

- Effect:

- Acid value reduced from 0.5mg KOH/g to <0.03mg KOH/g

- Dielectric loss factor tanδ reduced by 80%

2. Solvent extraction (PCB-contaminated oil)

- Solvent: propanol-hexane mixture (volume ratio 1:3)

- Efficiency: Polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) removal rate> 99%

3. Hydrofining (industrial regeneration)

- Conditions:

- Catalyst (Ni-Mo/Al₂O₃)

- Pressure 4-6MPa, temperature 300-350℃

- Output:

- Regenerated oil meets GB/T 7595-2017 standard

Harmless disposal (non-renewable oil)

| Method | Applicable scenarios | Environmental protection requirements |

|------------------|-------------------------|-------------------------------|

| High temperature incineration | Waste oil containing PCB> 50ppm | Flue gas dioxin detection (≤0.1ng TEQ/m³) |

| Cement kiln collaboration | Low calorific value waste oil (>8000kcal/kg) | replace 5-10% fossil fuels |

| Microbial degradation | Mildly contaminated oil (laboratory scale) | Degradation rate 60-80% (requires 30-60 days) |

Compliance disposal process

1. Declaration and registration: Submit the "Hazardous Waste Management Plan" to the local ecological and environmental department

2. Transfer form: Use the five-part form to hand it over to the certified unit (such as Sinopec Environmental Protection, Dongjiang Environmental Protection) for treatment

3. Disposal cost:

- Regeneration treatment: ¥1500-3000/ton

- Incineration disposal: ¥5000-8000/ton

Notes

1. Prohibited behaviors:

- Direct dumping or use as a release agent (fine of 100,000-1 million yuan)

2. Safe operation:

- Wear Class A protective clothing when handling PCB oil (EN 943-1 standard)

3. Testing standards:

- Recycled oil must pass 8 test,s including breakdown voltage (≥50kV) and moisture (≤15ppm)

Before choosing a treatment method, it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive oil quality analysis (GC-MS, ICP, etc.) and select the best solution based on the type of pollution.
