Insufficient oil output from the oil purifier may be caused by a variety of factors, which need to be checked one by one from the aspects of equipment, oil, operation, etc. The following are common causes and solutions:
- Oil viscosity is too high
- Performance: poor fluidity at low temperature, and difficulty in pumping oil.
- Solution: preheat the oil (such as turning on the heating function), or choose an oil purifier with suitable viscosity.
- Serious oil pollution
- Performance: impurities block the filter element or pipeline, and the flow rate decreases.
- Solution: first, sedimentation or centrifugal pretreatment, replace the high-contamination filter element.
- High moisture/air content
- Performance: oil emulsification or bubbles, the pump efficiency is reduced.
- Solution: Turn on the vacuum dehydration or defoaming device.
- Filter element blockage
- Performance: The inlet and outlet pressure difference increases (be vigilant if it exceeds 0.3MPa).
- Solution: replace the filter element and check whether the pollution level matches.
- Pump failure
- Symptoms: abnormal noise, vibration or unstable pressure.
- Causes: wear, seal failure or air intake.
- Solution: repair the pump body, replace seals or lubricants.
- Vacuum system leakage
- Symptoms: vacuum degree cannot meet the standard (affecting dehydration efficiency).
- Solution: Check the pipeline and valve sealing, and repair the leak.
- Heater failure
- Symptoms: oil temperature does not reach the set value (affecting viscosity adjustment).
- Solution: repair the heating element or temperature control system.
- Pipeline blockage/bending
- Symptoms: local flow rate drops sharply.
- Solution: Check whether the hose and joint are deformed or fouled.
- The valve is not fully open or damaged
- Symptoms: insufficient valve opening or internal valve core falls off.
- Solution: manually confirm the valve status and replace the faulty valve.
- Insufficient oil intake
- Symptoms: The oil tank level is too low or the oil suction pipe is not immersed.
- Solution: Make sure the oil inlet pipe is always immersed in the oil to avoid suction.
- System matching error
- Symptoms: The oil purifier flow is much smaller than the system requirement.
- Solution: Check whether the rated flow of the equipment matches the actual working conditions.
- Confirm whether the oil tank oil level, valve opening, and pipeline connection are normal.
- Observe the pressure gauge reading (filter element pressure difference, pump outlet pressure).
- After stopping, disassemble and inspect the filter element. If the surface is covered with impurities, replace it.
- Close the outlet valve for a short time and observe the pressure peak (if the pressure does not rise, the pump may leak).
- After turning off the vacuum pump, monitor the vacuum drop rate (too fast means there is a leak).
- Regular maintenance
- Clean the oil inlet filter every 500 hours and replace the pump oil (vacuum pump) every 2000 hours.
- Oil pretreatment
- Highly polluted oil should be precipitated or coarsely filtered first.
- Monitoring parameters
- Record the flow, pressure, and temperature trends during operation to warn of failures in advance.
- Case 1: A hydraulic oil purifier had slow oil discharge, and it was eventually found that the suction pipe flange seal was aging and air was being inhaled.
- Case 2: The transformer oil purifier was not preheated in winter, and the high viscosity caused the pump to run idly.
If the above methods still cannot solve the problem, contact the equipment manufacturer to check the circuit control (such as inverter failure) or internal structure damage (such as pump impeller breakage).
