What are the industrial oil filtration products?

There are many types of industrial oil filtration products. For different oil products (such as lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, transformer oil, cutting oil, etc.) and purification requirements (water removal, impurity removal, degassing, regeneration, etc.), there are mainly the following types of filtration equipment and technologies:

1. Classification by filtration principle

(1) Mechanical filtration equipment

- Plate and frame oil filter

- Principle: intercept particulate impurities through filter cloth or filter paper.

- Application: coarse filtration, suitable for high viscosity oil or oil containing a large amount of impurities (such as gear oil).

- Precision: usually 10~50μm.

- Cartridge filter (pressure oil filter)

- Principle: oil is pressurized through the filter element (cellulose, glass fiber, metal mesh, etc.).

- Application: precision filtration of hydraulic oil and turbine oil.

- Precision: 1~10μm (high precision can reach 0.5μm).

- Bag filter

- Principle: oil flows through a non-woven fabric or polyester filter bag.

- Application: Pretreatment or low-precision filtration (5~100μm).

(2) Centrifugal separation equipment

- Centrifugal oil filter

- Principle: Use centrifugal force to separate impurities and water with different densities.

- Application: Oil products with high water content (such as turbine oil, diesel).

- Features: No filter material is required, but dissolved water cannot be removed.

(3) Vacuum dehydration equipment

- Vacuum oil filter

- Principle: Heat the oil under negative pressure, evaporate water and light hydrocarbons, and condense and recover.

- Application: Deep dehydration and degassing of transformer oil and turbine oil.

- Precision: Can handle dissolved water (ppm level).

- Coalescing separation oil filter

- Principle: First, small water droplets are merged into large droplets through the coalescing filter element, and then separated through the separation filter element.

- Application: Demulsification and dehydration of aviation fuel and hydraulic oil.

(4) Adsorption purification equipment

- Molecular sieve oil filter

- Principle: Adsorbents such as silica gel and activated alumina are used to remove acidic substances and colloids.

- Application: Regeneration of insulating oil (such as deacidification of transformer oil).

- Electrostatic oil purifier

- Principle: High-voltage electrostatic field causes colloidal particles to precipitate.

- Application: Ultra-precision filtration (such as aerospace lubricants).

2. Classification by application scenario

(1) Online filtration system

- Circulating oil filter vehicle: A portable device used for continuous filtration of oil tank bypass.

- Centralized oil supply system: Integrated with the production line to purify cutting fluid or hydraulic oil in real time.

(2) Offline purification equipment

- Mobile oil filter: Used for centralized treatment of oil products during maintenance.

- Waste oil regeneration equipment: Recycle waste oil through processes such as distillation and adsorption.

(3) Special oil filter equipment

- Transformer oil special oil filter: Combines vacuum, heating, and precision filtration to ensure insulation performance.

- Refrigeration oil filter: low temperature resistant design to prevent refrigerant from mixing.

- Edible oil fine filter: food grade material, removes phospholipids and saponins in oil.

3. Classification by filtration accuracy

| Grade | Accuracy range | Applicable scenarios |

|----------------|-------------|----------------------------------|

| Coarse filtration | 50~100μm | Pre-filtration, protect downstream equipment |

| Medium precision filtration | 10~50μm | Industrial lubricating oil, hydraulic system |

| High precision filtration | 1~10μm | Servo valve, precision bearing |

| Ultra-precision filtration | ≤1μm | Aerospace, semiconductor equipment oil |

Key factors in selection

1. Oil type: viscosity, water content, impurity characteristics (such as metal chips vs. fibers).

2. Purification target: impurity removal, dehydration, degassing or full-function regeneration.

3. Flow demand: processing volume (L/min) matches the system oil volume.

4. Environmental requirements: explosion-proof (chemical occasions), food grade certification (pharmaceutical/food industry).

Typical industry applications

- Power industry: turbine oil vacuum oil filter (water ≤ 50ppm).

- Machinery manufacturing: cutting fluid centralized filtration system (extend tool life).

- Petrochemical industry: corrosion-resistant oil filter (processing acidic oil).

The best results can be achieved by combining different technologies according to specific needs (such as "centrifugation + vacuum + precision filtration" three-stage purification).
